Dogz Bar and Grill closed after fire hydrant floods business, nearly collapsing roof

Not the best day at Dogz. A big truck hit the fire hydrant and created a geyser on us. We will be closed until further notice. Thanks in advance for understanding.

A delivery truck sheared off a fire hydrant on the southeast corner of Glendora Avenue and Second Street, flooding Dogz Bar and Grill and shuttering the restaurant for an undetermined amount of time.

A low wall around the roof of the business allowed water to pool, said Brian Fisk, spokesman for the Long Beach Fire Department.
